معماری برمبنای  تامین نیازهای آینده
سری IES-6000 زایکسل به عنوان پرچمدار مدل‌های ویژه محصولات MSAN این شرکت به سیستم‌های گیگابیت backplane غیر انسدادی، سوییچ‌ کارت مدیریت (MSC(failover-enabled، ماژول‌های دوگانه توان ورودی و چندین لاین کارت چند منظوره با ظرفیت پورت های بالا و متنوع، مجهز است. سری IES-6000  با توجه به مزایای بسیار گسترده فرم‌ویر IP-centric خود یک سیستم ظرفیت بالا به حساب می‌آید. این سیستم به telco‌ها و ISPها امکان ارائه خدمات در سطح کیفی بالا برای خدمت‌رسانی به کسب و کارهای کوچک در سطوح CAPEX/OPEX را فرهم می‌کند. در کنار این موضوع این مدل نیازهای مربوط به قابل اعتماد بودن، انعطاف پذیر بودن و مقیاس پذیری را برای زیرساخت‌های موجود فعلی و زیرساخت‌های آینده تامین می‌نماید.

لوجستیک آسان و قابل کاربرد مجدد
سری IES-6000 در حقیقت یک دستگاه دارای ارتفاع 12.5U و17 شیار به شکل شاسی و با امکان دسترسی به خدمات متعدد بر روی مراکز مختلف شبکه است که دقیقا با همان line card‌هایی که بر روی سیستم‌های IES-5000/IES-5005 وجود دارند تطبیق داده شده است. سوییچ کارت مدیریتی 1024گیگابایتی MSC با چهار خروجی 1 گیگابایتی خود برای اتصال به شیارهای شماره 8 و یا 9 طراحی شده شده است. در حالی که شیارهای باقی‌ مانده برای مجهز شدن به line cardهای مختلف مناسب هستند. سوئیچ کارت مدیریت MSC1224G با دو مسیر خروجی اترنت 10 گیگابایتی و 6 نمونه 1 گیگابایتی همراه است که حتی از مقادیر بالاتر پهنای باند نیز پشتیبانی می‌کند. هر دو نسل MSC یعنی MSC1024GB  و MSC1224GB دارای صفات مشترکی با نسخه‌های پیشین خود هستند و به علاوه برای استفاده از آی‌پی نسخه 6 آماده هستند. Line cardهای متعدد که شامل 48 پورت و یا 72 پورت +ADSL2 هستند نیز می‌توانند برای مشترکین، پهنای باند غیر متقارن را تا سقف 25 مگابیت برثانیه 2.4 مگابیت بر ثانیه  تامین کنند.Line card چهل و هشت پورت SHDSL.bis  دارای  پهنای باند متقارن به میزان 5.69 مگابیت برثانیه برای هر پورت  است. line Cardهای 24 و 48 پورت VDSL2 هم سرعت بالای ارتباطی (100/100مگابیت برثانیه) 30A را برای هر پورت بر روی سیم‌های مسی فراهم می‌سازند. Line Cardهای 48 پورت و 72 پورت VoIP می‌توانند از یکی از دو پروتکل H.248 یا SIP پشتیبانی کنند. لاین کارت 20 پورت Fast Ethernet برپایه فیبرنوری است و می‌تواند سرعت ارتباطی را تا سقف 100 مگابیت برثانیه برای هر پورت و هم چنین 8 پورت برای E1 IMA card تامین کند.

عملکرد پیشرفته Triple play و امکان استفاده انبوه
سری IES-6000 وارث تمامی امکانات کیفیت خدمات، امنیت و عملکردهای multicast لایه 2 و لایه 3 از مدل‌های IES-5000/IES-5005 است. در عین حال این مدل از امکانات جدیدی برای توسعه گسترده شبکه بهره‌مند است:
-عملکرد IP bridge که محدودیت‌های دسترسی به لایه 2 ناشی از محدودیت جدول آدرس‌های MAC و مشکلات مربوط به حملات امنیتی در توسعه شبکه را کاهش می‌دهد.
-پروکسی ARP که میزان درخواست انتشار ARP را برای تمامی کاربران به حداقل می‌رساند.
-مکانیزم +TACACS به منظور پشتیبانی از صدور مجوز دسترسی به صورت راه دور و از طریق سرورهای +TACACS.
-سیستم کشف اطلاعات نفوز به شبکه از نوع DHCP که اطلاعات VLAN را در جدول DHCP snooping درج می‌کند.
-گزینه DHCP با 82 زیرگزینه برای ایجاد اطلاعات مربوط به شناسه مشتری به سرورهای DHCP به منظور اختصاص آدرس آی‌پی انعطاف‌پذیرتر.
-مزایای مدیریت Cluster که میزان OPEX را برای تعمیر و نگهداری چندین MSAN مهیا می‌سازد.

طراحی نیرومند از نظر امنیت فیزیکی
سری IES-5112 از سیستم تکرار 1+1  MSC با قابلیت سوییچ کردن در هنگام failover پشتیبانی می‌کند که این امر در کمتر از یک ثانیه انجام می‌شود.  علاوه بر این حسگرهای حرارت، ولتاژ و سرعت چرخش فن در  این سیستم تعبیه شد‌ه‌اند. این سیستم در شرایط عملکرد غیرعادی دستگاه به کمک سیستم هشداردهی می‌تواند به وسیله یک سری لامپ LED، اپراتور را از خطر آگاه سازد. در شرایطی که حرارت سیستم ممکن است بالاتر از حد تعیین شده برود، سامانه حفاظتی ویژه‌ای سیستم‌ را در مقابل حرارت محافظت کرده و با دخالت فوری در کار، سیستم را به‌صورت خودکار خاموش می‌کند.

امکانات پیچیده OAM&P
سری IES-6000 از روش‌های مدیریت متعددی پشتیبانی می‌کند: درگاه‌های کنسول منطقه‌ای، تنظیمات تحت وب، تل‌نت و SNMP v1/v2/v3 برپایه(EMS (NetAtlas Access. سیستم‌های مدیریتی موجود در این دستگاه برپایه سیستم‌های هشداردهی و نظارت وضعیت، مدیریت تنظیمات، مدیریت عملکرد و مدیریت ایرادهای رخ‌داده در دستگاه تعبیه شده‌اند. IES-6000 به اپراتور‌ها اجازه می‌دهد تا حسا‌ب‌های کاربری متعدد نظارتی و حقوق دسترسی در 3 سطح ایجاد کنند. حساب‌های دارای دسترسی سطح 1 تا حد بالاترین میزان اولویت، به عملکردهای مدیریتی و پایگاه اطلاعات مدیریت (MIB) دسترسی کامل دارند. سطح دوم نیز دارای میزان مشابهی از دسترسی با سطح اول است و تنها تفاوت آن در عدم امکان مدیریت حساب‌های مدیریتی است. حساب‌های کاربری سطح سوم تنها به قابلیت‌های مشاهده اطلاعات مجهز هستند و می‌توانند موارد مربوط به MIB را مشاهده نمایند. دسترسی EMS به NetAtlas نیز می‌تواند مدیریت برپایه مشاهده MIB را به‌صورت یک تکه تامین کند؛ که این امر به دلایل امنیتی قابل تعریف و دستکاری است. علاوه بر این مدیریت کلاستر موجب می‌شود تا مدیریت‌ IPهای مختلف MSAN با یک آدرس واحد یا مستر IP برقرار گردند. در کنار آن نیز رابط northbound برپایه XML به سیستم‌های خارجی وابسته به OSS مجهز است.
